This is one of the best business books I have read in a very long time.
This is so though provoking that it’s scary. This book made me completely rethink our business and the way it operates. Please understand that it is not a miracle cure but a way forward. You will need to implement the items that you take from the book. You will have to sit back and rethink some parts of your business. Be honest and you will take something valuable from this book.
The link below has 5 recommended business books to read. I would still add “Trump – Think big” to this list. I think this The E-myth Revisited is a very good book to start with. I wish I had read this 4 years ago.

Per the article listed below, businesses are failing at an alarming rate. There is a 70% year on year increase in February 2009 of business failures.
Now is a time of difficulty but also a time of great opportunity. As businesses are failing there is a gap in the market that needs to be filled.
This is the time where true entrepreneur shine. They will find the opportunities in any downturn. The challenge is finding the opportunity.

On Wednesday 25th February 2009 I had the privilege to attend a one day Sales and Business Growth Training presented by Bettina Harvath from Sales Partners Cape Region.
As a business owner you always have this view that you should know, or at least create the impression that you know what, when and where. During the course of the day I realised that all small business owners feel the same way.
The same way I am struggling to maintain levels of service, serving clients and keeping staff happy, there are plenty of others out there feeling the same way. That is ok. You just need to be able to identify when it becomes detrimental to your business.
One big thing is you need to identify where you want to go with the business. This may change over time but you need to work towards a goal. I also realised that you do not need to do it all by yourself. You are REQUIRED to attract the RIGHT people to assist you in getting where you want to be. And you are REQUIRED to MANAGE that team.
Also to increase your sales there are very subtitle changes you can implement to assist you in increasing your sales or client base. You sometimes just need an outsider’s opinion. SO ASK FOR IT is what I have learnt.
